HOW IT STARTED?

"I was newly married to a Norwegian woman, and her son, 13 years old, was a top-ranked cross country skier. One night, he's gearing up for a big race, with like 5-6 pairs of skis, each for different snow conditions. He's out in his garage, 10 degrees below zero, tuning and waxing them until 3 in the morning.

Working with great care, he's sweating - I'm frozen - but we're bonding. Edges, bottoms, side cuts, tops - perfect and pristine. $50 of wax for each ski. Clearly, it's a precise and expensive ritual repeated dozens of times each year. I'm in awe.

And then, he gathers the skis together, bottoms to bottoms, and with boots and several pairs of poles tosses them all into a ski bag, and then into the trunk of a car. That's a lot of hard edges and sharp objects. After all that work and care? Shouldn't there be some way to protect all that work?

And that was the "aha" moment - a ski sock to preserve the quality condition of each ski to maximize performance and the skiing experience, and extend the life of the ski. That's how it all began. It's not a bag, It's simple. And with novel styling, they look awesome"

During his tenure, he led Dartmouth to three NCAA championships and earned recognition as Coach of the Year several times by the Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association (EISA), United States Collegiate Ski Coaches Association (USCSCA), and United States Ski & Snowboard Association (USSA).

As a former U.S. Ski Team member and nine-year professional
racer, Peter's personal achievements extend to winning the U.S. National Pro Slalom championship and earning the title of Pro Skier of the Year in 1982-83.

Recognizing the challenges faced by skiers in protecting their
equipment, Peter sees SkiSoxx as a game-changer for both competitive teams and casual skiers. "I have seen a lot of ‘great’ new ski racing product ideas that were not that great, but I think the founders of SkiSoxx are actually on to something... Racers spend hours prepping their skis and treat them like babies. I think they would really like this product."
